Annex Overview & Room Layout

The Rush Center strives to provide great rental spaces at fair rates with convenient amenities, especially for organizations whose main purpose is to serve and host events, programming, and organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community.  The Rush Center Annex Building now has three separate rooms for rent: the Event Room, the Training Room, and the Conference Room.  All three rooms are connected to a shared lobby/entrance area with access to gender-neutral restrooms and a kitchen equipped with a sink and refrigerator.  Because we are a community meeting space, we ask that you be respectful of the shared common areas and other groups who may also be renting the space during the same timelines.  The following is an brief overview of the changes during our recent renovation, as well as some of the newly featured amenities now available within the Annex Building.

  • The Event Room, our largest rental space, was not changed in size during this renovation project and still has the capability of holding up to 75 people seated and 100 standing.  Included in this rental space is an overhead projector, a receiver, and five surround sound speakers that are already configured to connect to your laptop, tablet, cellphone, or audio device (via an HDMI cable).
  • The newly renovated Training Room now accommodates up to twenty-five people seated and thirty people standing. In this room we have added a large screen monitor that can connect to your computer for presentations, slideshows, or movies.  Also included in this rental space are two large dry erase boards that have been mounted onto the wall.
  • Finally, we created a Conference Room in the Annex.  This room has one large executive table and can seat twelve people comfortably with a maximum capacity of fifteen people.  There are two power strips mounted on the table and one large dry erase board now hangs on the wall.
